The Story Behind the Racks
More Than a Boutique
U Pretty Things started with a simple frustration: there wasn't a single boutique in my area where every woman — no matter her size — could shop the same racks as her friends.
I spent years working at a local boutique, and I loved it. But there was a moment that kept happening that I couldn't shake: beautiful, stylish women would walk in, fall in love with something, and then realize we didn't carry it in their size. It happened more times than I can count, and it never got easier to watch.
So I decided to build the boutique I wished existed — one where sizes 00 to 24 hang side by side, styled with the same care, so sizing never gets in the way of finding something you love.
The name comes from another love of mine: music. I have a background in the film and music industry, and "U Pretty Things" is a nod to David Bowie's "Oh! You Pretty Things." It felt fitting.
Speaking of Bowie — that's also my dog's name. He's usually right by my side at pop-up events, so if you shop with us in person, don't be surprised if a very good boy greets you at the door.
